Amid the exceptional circumstances affecting the region and their direct impact across sectors, the Bahrain Recruiters Society has called on the Labour Fund (Tamkeen) to consider supporting the recruitment sector, which is among the hardest hit by the current crisis.
The society stressed that domestic worker recruitment has come to a complete halt due to the suspension of air travel, which has disrupted the arrival of workers into the kingdom.
Chairperson Mona Al Mulla stated that the process has stopped entirely because it relies primarily on direct flights to Bahrain International Airport.
With flights suspended, completing recruitment procedures and bringing in workers has become extremely difficult, leading to a state of stagnation and near-total paralysis in the sector.
