Foreign Minister Dr Abdullatif Al Zayani received a telephone call from Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Co-operation and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita.
During the call, the two ministers reviewed the longstanding close relations between Bahrain and Morocco and discussed ways to further develop co-operation across various fields.
They also exchanged views on recent regional developments, including the repercussions of Iranian attacks targeting Bahrain and GCC states, the closure of Strait of Hormuz to international navigation, and efforts to enhance regional security and stability.
The call also addressed strengthening diplomatic co-ordination between the two countries in international forums, as well as issues of shared interest.
