Bahrain has welcomed the successful mediation undertaken by the UAE between Russia and Ukraine, which resulted in the exchange of 410 captives.
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry said the exchange represents an important step that supports de-escalation efforts and enhances prospects for a peaceful resolution to the Ukraine crisis.
The ministry expressed Bahrain’s appreciation for the UAE’s diplomatic and humanitarian efforts, noting its role in securing the release of 7,101 captives through 23 mediation operations since the beginning of the crisis.
The ministry reiterated Bahrain’s support for all regional and international initiatives aimed at ending the war through dialogue and peaceful means, mitigating its humanitarian impact, and promoting regional and international peace and stability.
