Shura Council Chairman Ali Saleh Al Saleh sent a cable to UAE’s Speaker of the Federal National Council Saqer Ghobash expressing the council’s solidarity with the UAE in confronting threats targeting its security, stability, territorial integrity and vital facilities.
Mr Al Saleh affirmed Bahrain’s strong condemnation of the terrorist drone attack targeting the vicinity of the Barakah nuclear energy plant in Al Dhafra region in the UAE.
He described it as a flagrant violation of international law and conventions that guarantee the protection of civilian and vital facilities, as well as a clear breach of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817.
