As part of ongoing government efforts to improve service quality and re-engineer procedures, the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) has developed the procedure for adding a service to a licensed health institution within the framework of the comprehensive government digital transformation programme.
It aims to improve customer experience, enhance procedural efficiency and accelerating service delivery.
Under the updated service, the processing period has been reduced to two working days instead of five, with the procedure now fully automated, and virtual inspections adopted in place of field visits. The update also includes enhanced auditing and verification measures to ensure the safety and quality of implementation processes and strengthen the efficiency and flexibility of the regulatory oversight system for health institutions, while achieving the highest levels of transparency and governance.
NHRA CEO Dr Ahmed Al Ansari said the development of the service reflects the authority’s ongoing efforts to adopt innovative digital solutions that contribute to enhancing the efficiency of regulatory procedures, supporting the swift completion of transactions and strengthening the quality of healthcare services and oversight.
