Registration for the 10th edition of the Prime Minister’s Award for Journalism for 2026 opened on Monday and continues until June 25.
The award, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, honours journalists, creators and professional national writers, and encourages them to promote a positive professional competitive atmosphere that provides the best media and journalistic content.
Awards will be given for 10 categories: Column Award, Best Investigative Report, Best Interview, Best Press Photo, Best Specialised Page or Supplement, Best Visual Press Content (Video), Best Infographic, Best Website and Electronic Account for Press Institutions, Best Student Press Project for Universities, in addition to the Journalism Personality of the Year Award, which is given to a media figure who has actively contributed to the development of the Bahraini Press scene.
