Abu Dhabi: A total of 400 distinguished number plates will be up for auction by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
RTA Vehicles Licensing Department director Sultan Abdullah Al Marzouqi said that the three-day cyber auction would start on Tuesday, April19.
Registration to take part in the cyber auction started on April 12 and will last for seven days.
Al-Marzouqi said that he expects huge turnout in the online auction which includes eight categories namely K, L. M, N, O, P, Q and R, reported local Arabic daily Emarat Al Youm.
Registration for the auction is available to the public until the 18th of April on www.rta.ae and at Dubai customers’ service centres.
The participants will be required to deposit cheques for AED5,000 as guarantee, which will be refunded at the end of the auction.
