BAHRAIN is currently unable to set a minimum wage for domestic workers due to the free-market nature of its economy, according to a top labour official.
Setting a minimum wage will not help the country’s labour market which works on a demand and supply system, said Labour and Social Development Ministry Labour Affairs assistant under-secretary Dr Mohammed Al Ansari .
