Riyadh: Saudi Youssef Masrahi, the Asian 400m record holder, will miss the Rio Olympics 2016 for doping after failing a drugs test.
The Saudi Olympic Committee (SOC) said that the 28-year-old athlete tested positive after a training session last month.
A SOC statement said that Masrahi has been excluded from the country’s delegation to RIO 2016 “out of keenness on the principle of transparency”.
