The organising committee of the Bahrain Superbike Championship (BSBK) is preparing to launch the second edition of the tournament at the Bahrain International Circuit, home of motorsport in the Middle East.

BSBK organising team signed a sponsorship deal with Cebarco Bahrain to be the gold sponsor for the new season of Bahrain Superbike which enjoyed great success and marked an unprecedented off-season of the first and unique superbike racing.

The contract was signed by the two parties – BSBK co-founder Abdulrahman Almoayed and Hussein Al Kooheji – together with Cebarco Bahrain Business owner Mohammed Khaled Abdul Rahim and CEO Peter Seeler in the presence of Paul Gill.

The BSBK officials and those who made it all expressed great thanks and gratitude to Cebarco Bahrain and all its officials on the care and support to BSBK season 2, which will contribute to the achievement of its objectives mainly for their interest and support.

Cebarco Bahrain is one of the leading companies in the Kingdom, where the company built motorsports projects like Bahrain International Circuit, Yas Marina Circuit in Dubai, and has many large-scale projects whether in or outside the country, so it was considered by the BSBK officials that Cebarco Bahrain will be the strategic partner of the championship.

Delight

Rahim has expressed his delight to support the Bahrain Superbike Championship being the first tournament of its kind in the region and attract many of the racers around the world.

The organising committee revealed the new design of the motorcycle for the new season which shows off the colours of Bahrain’s flag. The last season has seen wide participation regionally and internationally, where the Qatari professional rider from the team Ooredo Racing won the title of the first Championship season and was able to achieve first place in all races.

The index reached the full mark and leading the overall standings ladder score of 300 points to be crowned himself the title of the tournament in the first version occupies team-mate Qatari rider Fahd Al Suwaidi collecting 188 points in the tally.

The organising committee, which included six rounds of attracting world-class champions, started its Round 1 of first season last January.

BSBK featured the participation of world champion in the Super Bike racing from Spain, Carlos Checa, and DRE (Ducati Riding Experience) head instructor Dario Marchetti (Italian) in the second round.
