Manama: Citibank Bahrain has launched its new online banking platform and the Citi mobile app service in line with its endeavour to improve the digital experience for its clients.
The platform and service will make banking online easier, effective and more secure while on the move, the bank said.
Work began nine months ago on improving the online banking site. The revamped and redesigned online banking website offers more capabilities, a user-friendly interface and added security features.
“Digital technology has changed everything around us and we need to embrace this change and provide our clients with the services they need at the time and place that suits them”, said Citibank Bahrain’s consumer market lead Nader Moosa.
“As part of the enhancements, clients can now activate their debit or credit card and set up their PIN on Citibank Online. They will be able to link their account with multiple banking accounts under one platform, and get a global view of all their Citibank accounts on one web page.
As for investment and deposit products, the new online banking platform allows clients to view real-time foreign exchange rates. These are only some of the new added features made available by the significant system platform enhancement, making banking faster through an easy-to-use online banking interface,” he said.
The Citi mobile app features a world-class user interface and includes new features like Snapshot and Touch ID fingerprint identity. Snapshot is a new opt-in feature that provides clients with quick access to an overall snapshot view of their deposits, credit card balances and recent transactions without having to log into the app. Touch ID fingerprint identity sensor allows clients to log into the app using their fingerprint.
