The unreserved support the government is providing to the business community continues unabated. Business people are told to bank on the success of South Asian nations’ economy and exploit the opportunity to create business in Bahrain.
This wise business advice was forwarded by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa during a meeting with the Bahraini business delegation taking part in the Asia Co-operation Dialogue (ACD) Summit in Bangkok.
The Premier has informed the business delegation that the government will remove all obstacles for investors. This is an additional bonus for those who are keen on making business out of the ACD.
Most of the South Asian nations’ economy is based on export of merchandise which needs maritime transport to their final destinations. Bahrain is known as a financial hub and by virtue of its location at the centre of trade routes, Bahrain can be used as a distribution hub for the exported items to the GCC and beyond.
The country’s infrastructure and ports are able to handle, store and distribute merchandise and this is where Bahraini business delegates are required to discuss and make agreements with leading industrialists in South Asian nations. If it succeeds, Bahrain can be the distribution hub of South Asian merchandise, creating thousands of jobs along the way and will be a good success story of diversification of the economy. The ball is in the business community’s court. Our business people need to play it smart.
