A renewed plea has been made for a university campus to be set up in Muharraq for disgruntled students who currently have to travel across the country to Sakhir to carry on learning.
Some face a 70km round trip, can be stuck in a car for more than an hour on the journey home as a result of an ongoing dispute over transportation provision and concerned councillors fear young people are being forced away from pursuing further education after a decade of despair .
