IT is beyond the belief of any normal human being to witness the crime unfolding in Gaza where the annihilation of thousands of Palestinian citizens continues with no sense of guilt whatsoever.
How long should we have to continue listening to the leaders of the West bragging about human rights and humane values, spouting empty words that are good for nothing at the same time daring not to mention the deprivation imposed by a merciless Zionist regime on the innocent?
How long must we wait powerless to respond to the tears and fears of Palestinian children who have nothing to do with Hamas, as some fanatics in Israel claim?
How long can we witness with our own eyes the failure of humanity through the barrel of gun-toting Israeli soldiers and missile launchers on land, sea and air?
How long will we have to stomach the West preaching about so-called democracy through the speeches of spine-less politicians and a biased media?
How long should we tolerate a beast that the West has created destroying the homes and killing the children on the land where their families have lived for generations?
We know who is responsible for these outrages and who is arming the beasts that are responsible for this genocide.
How disgusting it has been to read that America, a country that likes to describe itself as ‘the land of the free, and the home of the brave’ has increased its military support to Israel by supplying it with bunker buster bombs to cause the maximum destruction at the same time as calling for a new truce.
What crimes have ordinary Palestinian civilians carried out to deserve such hate and inhuman punishment by the so-called civilised West?
This war would have been avoided had a two state solution been actioned decades ago but when will we ever see its creation, or has it just been a way to bluff the Arab world?
How can anyone justify what Israel is now doing in Gaza as an act of ‘self-defence’, are you not victimising the oppressors and further devastating the actual victims of oppression?
What appears to be happening is an attempt to eradicate the souls of Palestine forever.
Clearly, Israel accepts and knows that it is impossible to destroy Hamas without killing thousands of innocent men, women and children and it simply does not care.
Can we continue to witness the carnage that we see daily with our own eyes and still consider the West as our friends?
Being a very realistic man and having said to all my colleagues at work that although this cannot be considered an ‘era of the Arabs’, I never thought it would be a time when so many of us found ourselves in such a dire situation.
Surely, the West still has some wise and honest men and women. Can they not do anything to stop this war or should we assume the word ‘humanity’ is only something they preach from the pulpits and debate in college lecture rooms? The behaviour currently displayed would be better suited to the Stone Age.
We, on the other hand, have to try to explain what is happening to our anxious children and grandchildren.
If the Zionists are convinced their current course of attempting to kill every soul in Gaza will solve their problems, they only have to go back to 1948 and count the 115,000 Palestinians they have already killed and see where it has taken them.
The people will continue to defend their soil and demand justice and freedom.
