MANAMA: His Majesty King Hamad, the Supreme Commander, yesterday paid tribute to the outstanding performance of BDF personnel.
They will remain the bulwark that protects the homeland, as well as its achievements, civilisational march and national unity, he said as he visited the BDF’s General Headquarters.
He was welcomed by BDF Commander-in-Chief Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Dhiyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Royal Guard Commander Brigadier Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and senior officers.
The King hailed plans to provide the BDF with cutting-edge military systems and boost the capabilities of its personnel by providing them with high level training. He praised the servicemen’s courage, determination and discipline, stressing that they will always remain a source of pride for their sincere keenness to perform their duties.
The King also lauded strong GCC military co-operation.
