In a rare case, a pair of UAE twins who were born 42 days apart will have their birthdays on different days and in different years.
Dheyab and Batti were born at Tawam Hospital in the city of Al-Ain.
Dheyab, was the first to be born prematurely, three months before the delivery due date.
A medical team led by Embryo Medicine specialist Dr. Sinha Prebha helped the mother deliver the first baby who had lost his umbilical cord. The infant was then placed in an incubator under close medical surveillance.
His twin brother, Batti, however was born in good health 42 days later, weighing 3.5 kg.
