Bahrain Cricket: Green Tech down Bangla Tigers

GREEN Tech scored a convincing 18-run victory over Bangla Tigers in the Kannada Sangha Bahrain Open Eight-a-side Softball Cricket Tournament.

Batting first, Green Tech scored 72 runs for five wickets in their six overs with Junaid making an 11-ball 22 (2 sixes, 1 four) and Sameer an 11-ball 18 (1 six, 1 four). For Bangla Tigers, Milon claimed four wickets for one run.

In reply, Bangla Tigers were restricted to 54 runs in six overs. Rasheed made a 16-ball 28 (4 sixes) while Mubasheer bagged three wickets for 12 runs.

Other results: MCC 76-4 in six overs (Ashin 24, 10 balls, 2 sixex, 1 four, Waseem 20, 10 balls, 2 sixes, 1 four) lost to  Green Tech 77 in 4.4 overs (Junaid , 32, 8 balls, 5 sixes, Obaid 21, 9 balls, 3 sixes) by 5 wickets.

Kansara XI 64-4 in 6 overs (Karan 32, 15 balls, 4 sixes, 1 four, Dhawal 17, 10 balls, 2 sixes) bt Naas Group 48 in 6 overs (Noufil 27, 12 balls, 4 sixes) 16 runs.

Berger Blue 96-2 in six overs (Karthik 35, 14 balls, 4 sixes, 1 four, Praveen Raj 32, 11 balls, 4 sixes, 1 four; Dhawal 2-10) bt Kansara XI 52 in 6 overs (Karan 29, 18 balls, 4 sixes; Karthik 2 wickets) by 44 runs.
