Manama: His Majesty King Hamad yesterday met His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, for consultation on steps to tackle Bahrain’s financial situation and reorganise government departments by merging some ministries.
Downsizing the number of government departments was discussed to ensure reduced public expenditure wherever possible to maintain requisite financial stability in the interests of the nation and citizens .
