The body of Kuwaiti actor Abdulhussain Abdulredha is expected to be repatriated on Monday evening, according to Al Anba newspaper.
The iconic comedian, who passed away at a London hospital last Friday, will be flown aboard an Amiri plane from Heathrow Airport.
The United Nations Arts Initiative regional bureau for the Middle East and North Africa mourned the actor and commended his lifetime art legacy.
In a statement signed by regional director Dr Nabil Rizq, the UN bureau paid tribute to the comedian, describing his demise as a big loss to the Gulf and Arab art.
Dr Rizq called upon all Arab artists to attend the memorial which will be held for the late actor in Cairo, Egypt, on Thursday.
