Kuwait City: Divorced and unmarried citizens make up 26.8 per cent of the overall population of Kuwait.
According to recent statistics released by the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI), 309,000 citizens are unmarried, while 57,714 others are divorced.
The rate of divorce is highest among the category of Kuwaiti citizens aged 30 to 39, totalling 17,181.
The (PACI) report surveyed 34,519 citizens who work in the public sector in Kuwait.
