Hayabusa saved their best for last to claim the 4-Way FS AAA Open category title of Flight Fighters 2017 as the Gravity Indoor Skydiving competition came to an exciting end yesterday.
Finishing second in the main category of this international event were Weembi High Rollers followed by Weembi French Girls in third place.
Bahrain 1 took the 4-Way FS AA Open title with Expat Fury and Spartans finishing second and third, respectively.
In the 4-Way VFS, SDC Core bagged the trophy after beating second-placed AMUDY and third-placed Gravity Bros.
Windoor captured the 4-Way Dynamic crown, while Gravity Meets Fire and Vertical Dynamic Formations settled for the second and third places, respectively.
In the 2-Way Dynamic, Windoor DC emerged triumphant after outclassing runners-up Windoor GB Team and third best Firefly Singapore.
Kyra Poh completed a brilliant double after reigning supreme in the Solo Speed and Freestyle categories.
Cesar Rico was second and Choo Yixuan third in Solo Speed. In Freestyle, Toms Ivans beat Amy Watson for second-place finish.
A full day of competition followed by a closing ceremony and prize-giving ceremony marked the conclusion of the two-day event, which comes as part of Gravity’s preparations to host the third FAI World Cup of Indoor Skydiving in October next year.
The closing ceremony and prize giving was held at Bushido Restaurant in which the competitors were presented with medals, trophies and cash prizes.
The competition gathered more than 60 competitors from around the world in Gravity’s wind tunnel competing in several disciplines.
The competition witnessed strong battles amongst the participating teams across all categories and disciplines, which reflected the true essence of a competition environment.
Flight Fighters saw participation from high-caliber indoor skydiving athletes who gave their best performances in one of the tallest glass wind tunnels in the world, which contributed to the success of Flight Fighters from a competitor and spectator level.
Gravity extends its gratitude and thanks to the ultimate supporters of the sport of Indoor Skydiving, HRH the Prime Minister, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, chairman of Gravity Indoor Skydiving.
Gravity Indoor Skydiving general manager Khawla Alhammadi expressed her extreme happiness, saying: “The success of this tournament and this great achievement is a result of the great effort that the management and entire team of Gravity Indoor Skydiving have exerted into the organisation of this competition.
