A Saudi Arabian Airlines plane had to return to Cairo International Airport to attend to a passenger who suddenly fell ill, according to Almarsad.
The pilot of flight 314 requested to make an emergency landing after take-off to provide urgent medical treatment to Fares A.
The 58-year-old passenger was transferred to a specialist hospital in the Egyptian capital. His family, who was on the same flight, remained with him at the hospital.
The plane finally took off from Cairo and headed to King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh after a two-hour delay.
