Media pioneer reveals Mossad ‘role’ in Qatar

Stunning allegations that Israeli intelligence agents were supporting Qatar’s security services have been made by a Bahraini media pioneer.
Akhbar Al Khaleej editor-in-chief Anwar Abdulrahman told participants at a major conference in Bahrain yesterday that Mossad operatives, among others, had been brought in years ago by Doha to replace outgoing British intelligence agents.
He made his comments as a speaker at an international forum entitled Qatar: Patron of Anarchy and Crisis in the Middle East yesterday at the Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa Sea and Spa.
“The British traditionally running Qatari intelligence and security forces were removed and replaced with Arab Jews from the Israeli Mossad and other invisible hands,” said Mr Abdulrahman during the event organised by the Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat).
“Those new hands in power launched Al Jazeera Network from behind the curtain, alongside others.
“There is no end to Qatar’s devious plans as they continue to obey orders from the invisible, which unfortunately continue to be imported to that country.
“We want the conscience of the world to awaken as Qatar’s evil plans endanger global security and the world economy.
“Such impolite people have to be stopped in their tracks and action has to be taken without hypocrisy.”
He chastised Qatar for aligning itself with Iran, a long-time foe of the Gulf states.
“Most of you are probably unaware of how evil Qatar’s intentions were towards Bahrain and that has not changed until today,” he said.
“In fact, they have unmasked themselves as nothing less than a nest backing fanatics and terrorists.
“They amputated their historical and traditional relations with their neighbours, pushing themselves into Iran’s lap and ignoring the fact that Iran is a changeable society.
“Right now, given what’s happening there (in Iran), one can imagine the sleepless nights of Doha’s leaders.”
However, he said the mistakes of senior Qatari leaders should not tarnish the broader Qatari population.
“We wish Qatar no ill will because many members of its ruling family and people are honourable and decent individuals,” he added.
“What we are facing in Qatar are the sins of the grandfather, father and ruling son.
“Those responsible for such evil atrocities and deeds are Khalifa bin Hamed Al Thani, his son Hamed bin Khalifa Al Thani and his weak son who is in power, but without any authority.”
