EXPERIENCE an evening of oriental fusion music with Bahrain-based violinist Moe Allam this weekend. Hosted by Alto at the Downtown Rotana, Manama, Angham will take place on Friday from 8pm. r Allam is an Egyptian music composer and violinist, whose taste in music is eclectic which led him to pick up a violin.
Alto’s resident DJ Moussa will be behind the decks on the evening also.
Both will perform their contemporary take on traditional favourites, as well as modern melodies.

A MUSICAL tribute called Geethanjali will has been organised by the Bharathi Association this weekend.
Hosted by the Indian Club, the event tomorrow will begin at 8pm and is being held in memory of Bharathi Association senior member Sugumar Gunarai.
A number of popular singers have volunteered to perform for this charitable occasion which will see all proceeds donated to Mr Gunarai’s children’s education.
The event will be supported by a live orchestra called Harmonics, which will be led by well-known local musicians Joseph and Haji Pal.

AN arangetram featuring 13 students will take place on Friday, at the Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam at 6.30pm.
These students have learned Bharatanatyam under the guidance of noted dance teacher Shri Bharathasree Radhakrishnan.
Performing at the event are Adhya Srijai, Shreya Srijai, Devanandha S Nair, Harini Manikandan, Ashwathy Santhosh, Vaishnavi Vinod, Shiv Soorya, Sandra Dipu, Aarsha Biju, Devna Roopesh, Gouri Krishna, Anakha Ganesh and Alin Prasad.
