A proposal for a minimum wage for Bahraini employees in the private sector has been presented by MPs.
It would see school leavers get a minimum salary of BD300 a month, secondary school graduates BD400, BD450 for diploma holders and BD550 for university graduates with bachelor's degrees.
The proposal was submitted urgently to parliament chairman Ahmed Al Mulla by the National Consensus Bloc for discussion on Tuesday.
