Bahrain Football Association president Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa said the School Mini Olympics, to be held from Thursday to March 22, will help in the development of sports clubs and national teams in different sports.
Shaikh Ali said the event, organised by the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) in cooperation with the Education Ministry, is a result of the support of the committee, headed by His Majesty the King’s representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
He said that the BOC initiatives play a major role in the development of Bahrain sports, adding that this year’s School Mini Olympics will see larger number of entries from students from all over the kingdom.
