Zain Racing, Zain Bahrain’s in-house team for racing events, secured an impressive third place finish at the Muscat Speedway 24 Hours endurance race in Oman.
The Zain Racing was the only Bahraini team participating in the race and they were able to occupy the front of the field at the track with impressive consistency qualifying first out of the eight participating teams from different parts of the world.
Zain Bahrain corporate events manager Ghazi Faisal Radhi, who also manages the team, said, “The good communication and the effective collaboration within Zain Racing team makes it possible to achieve exceptional levels of performance. We have no doubt in Zain Racing team competing as a world-class team and representing Bahrain. We can now start the new season with full confidence in our potential, and success remains our only goal”.
The Muscat Speedway 24 Hour endurance race is recognised by the SODI Word Series (SWS), which is the karting world’s premier ranking agency.
The Zain Racing team consisted of drivers – Florian Garcia, Craig Mitchel, Colum Mitchel and Mohammed Alzadjali – with Radhi as team manager and Mohammed Khalid as logistic manager. The team has officially been recognised by SWS as Semi-Pro following a stellar season in 2017 in Oman and has participated in two world finals since 2013.
