Three men get stranded in the Empty Quarter, social media users get furious

GDN Online Desk

Riyadh: Three men got stranded in the Empty Quarter desert while exploring the area.

While exploring the area, the men decided to go home after their third day, however, they lost their way back and got lost.

They could not contact the authorities as their communication devices were out of range.

A friend of the three men got worried after not hearing from them in a while, so he contacted the authorities.

A rescue mission was taken by border patrols and a support centre in the empty quarter.

The rescue mission was a success. Many social media users praised the border patrol on the rescue mission, but have criticised the 'explorers'.

Some users have suggested that the three men should pay a fine for their carelessness, others have asked that they pay for the fuel that was used during the rescue mission.
