A SINGING competition will be launched this weekend to celebrate Renault Middle East’s sponsorship of The Voice Ahla Sawt.
The Koleos Karaoke competition visited Renault showrooms across the Middle East, where customers who test drove any model were automatically qualified to take part for a chance to win one of three brand-new Renault Koleos SUVs.
After visiting Jordan, Dubai, Riyadh, Damam, Oman, Beirut and Kuwait, the competition will be held in Bahrain, Jeddah and Abu Dhabi for the final weekend.
Beginning on Thursday, the competition will continue until Saturday running from 12pm onwards at the Renault showroom in Sitra.
A custom-made recording studio has been installed inside the Renault Koleos vehicle, allowing participants to read and sing lyrics from Renault’s soundtrack on its The Voice television advert on a screen integrated into the dashboard, as well as film their performance on cameras mounted inside the car.
Each performance of the track, composed by music producer Wael Kodeih, will appear on www.koleoskaraoke.com, where members of the public can vote for their favourite performance.
Each week, the five most popular videos will be shortlisted and entered into a grand finale and three winning videos will be randomly selected in a prize draw.
