BAHRAINI singing sensation Hala Al Turk has released a new single to coincide with the world premiere of a new US television series.
The Arabic song, Mamnoo Al Lams ( Forbidden to Touch), was performed in the Gulf dialect by the 16-year-old on Baby Doll Records.
The song is produced by Platinum Records and composed by Maytham Alaa Aldeen and Latin Grammy Award winner Motiff with lyrics written by Hamad Al Gharbawi.
Hala plays the character of Fatima and sings her song in episode five of the series, which also stars American singer and social media personality Baby Ariel.
Rob Fisherman, the founder of the Los Angeles-based production company called Brat Productions, and producer of the show, discovered Hala’s talent while listening to her songs online and keeping tabs on her huge fan base.
Baby Doll Records tells the story of a girl who is obsessed with music, played by Baby Ariel, who gathers several friends to create an underground record label with their own unique sound.
The song, a collaborative effort between Mr Fisherman and Platinum Records was released for the first time on the show on Monday and will be available for general release from July 12.
Meanwhile, Hala’s last song, Live in the Moment, released in 2015 has attracted more than 102 million views on YouTube.
