Sporting Warriors defeated Ribandar FC ‘B’ 3-1 in the final to win the Gold Cup in the Men’s 5-A-Side Penalty-Shoot held on Friday at Dasman Center Ground in Gudaibiya. Micky Furtado, Melvin Figreido and Rio Fernandes scored for the winners and Lucas D’Souza netted in the consolation goal for the runners-up in this event organised by Young Goans Club. In the semi-finals, Sporting Warriors beat Snipers FC ‘B’ 3-4, while Ribandar FC ‘B’ downed YGC-B 6-5. In the first ever 3-A-Side Women’s Penalty Shoot-Out, Castle Girls Sporting won the title after beating Sporting FC Ladies 4-3 in the finals. Above, the Sporting Warriors.
