More than 500 cars were damaged or destroyed in a blaze that spread throughout a scrap yard in Askar.
The fire started at around 12.30pm.
According to sources at the scene, the fire started in a metal scrapyard but due to strong winds, it spread to a nearby car scrapyard.
According to the Interior Ministry's Twitter account, the Civil Defence dispatched 10 vehicles and 18 firemen to battle the blaze.
No injuries or deaths have been reported so far.
