His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa yesterday issued an edict establishing the National Committee for Unified Purchases of Medicines.
The Premier appointed Professor Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa as chairman and designated Aisha Adel Al Baloushi, representative of the Royal Medical Services, as deputy chairman.
The panel also includes as members Sima Mohamed Zainal, Rehab Ahmed Al Nuaimi, Ayat Shawqi and Wijdan Saleh Mnaizel (Health Ministry); Roya Mohamed Al Abbasi (National Health Regulatory Authority); Fadi Samir Ayyoub (King Hamad University Hospital (KHUH); and Fahmida Khanem Mohamed (Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Specialist Centre for Cardiology).
The Premier issued a second edict replacing Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Medical University of Bahrain (RCSI Bahrain) president Dr Samir Al Atoom with Dr Mazin Mohammed Juma as a representative of private universities in the Advisory committee of Bahrain’s Quality Assurance of Education and Training to complete the term of his predecessor.
