MORE than 200 teaching professionals from Bahrain and the Middle East and North Africa region will be attending an annual conference next month.
The Bahrain English Language Teaching (ELT) Professionals Network is organising its seventh annual conference on October 20 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
The conference, under the theme, ‘21st Century Teaching Practices: Challenges and Solutions’, is a platform that brings together English teachers and educators to share experiences and enhance teaching skills as well as connect them with international educational institutions.
Keynote speakers this year will be teacher trainer, storyteller and author Jamie Keddie, education technologist from the UK Russell Stannard and education consultant and author from Cyprus Peter Lucantoni.
Additionally, 24 sessions will be addressed by local and regional speakers.
Delegates will also have access to the latest ELT publications from international publishers such as Garnet Education and National Geographic Learning.
Information about ELT courses and international teaching qualifications will also be available from University of Derby, Educational Design and Development and Al Mawred agency.
The conference is sponsored by the British Council Bahrain and British Council Exams with Tamkeen as the strategic partner for the second consecutive year.
The Bahrain ELT Professionals Network aims to help educators in the field of English language teaching to share information, to find working partners and to collaborate on events and projects.
