I appreciate initiatives by the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) making it mandatory for all professionals in real estate to be licensed and undergo a necessary course.
But there are hundreds of agents and brokers who freelance illegally without Commercial Registrations (CRs), which should be stopped.
Genuine businesses are suffering.
We pay rent for an office, electricity bills, staff salaries, RERA and CR fees, as well as advertising expenses. But these freelancers don’t have any CR or office – and are not registered or licensed by RERA.
Authorities should take action so we can work more professionally and with peace of mind in the real estate sector, as authorised by an elite body.
We are being cheated by these freelance brokers and agents.
