MANAMA: The Islamic Financial Services Board and Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance have announced the speakers’ line-up for the third joint IFSB-BIBF Islamic Finance Executive Programme series, which will be held on October 17 and 18.
The programme themed Fintech, Regtech and Islamic Finance will focus on the role of fintech in the Islamic finance industry, the threats and regulatory challenges that fintech impose on the industry.
Among confirmed speakers are: Waqfe chief executive Ashar Nazim, Arab Financial Services CEO Shiraz Ali, UK-based Khalij Islamic’s CEO Asim Khan, Al Baraka Banking Group senior vice-president and head of IT Ahmed Al Balooshi, CBB head of fintech Yasmeen Al Sharaf and Sharia scholar Shaikh Esam Mohamed Ishaq.
