FIFTY-ONE inspiring Bahraini personalities are featured in a book that was launched in Bahrain.
Those Who Inspire was released at a ceremony at Bahrain Fort under the patronage of Capital Governor Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa.
The event was held in conjunction with the Manama Entrepreneurship Week, with Tamkeen as a strategic partner.
Among the prominent personalities portrayed in the publication are composer and conductor of the national band Dr Mubarak Najem, paratriathlete Shaikha Al Shaiba and filmmaker and YouTube influencer Omar Farouk.
The list includes 26 women who have all agreed to provide individual mentoring sessions to the youth as well as participate in discussions at universities. According to Those Who Inspire co-founder and publisher Delphine Barets, inspiration can change the course of a person’s life.
“We have the honour to be inspired in every possible way,” she said.
Engagement co-ordinator and country director Amelia Mirea has spent eight months researching and working on this book in Bahrain.
“I was struck by how many Bahrainis I have met and how Bahrainis are dedicated to empowering their youth,” she said.
