Themed 'Air Power Applied in Networked Coalition and Joint Environments', the conference on the sidelines of the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) 2018, has gathered experts from around the world.

Keynote speaker US Astronaut Colonel Alfred Worden touched on the need to think of ways to safeguard the planet which he said was as small as something which we could "cover with the thumb" while looking at it from the Moon.
The retired colonel was the Apollo 15 Command Module Pilot and one of just 24 people to have flown to the Moon and only 12 of whom are still on Earth.
BIAS 2018 takes off tomorrow at Sakhir Airbase, under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad and under the supervision of BIAS Supreme Organising Committee chairman Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
