Kuwaiti Finance Minister Dr Nayef Al Hajraf will patronise the symposium, jointly organised by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Finance, Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA) and Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority.

The forum will be held on the sidelines of the inauguration of KIA's second office in Shanghai on Wednesday, after its first office in Beijing in 2011.

Dr Al Hajraf is expected to deliver an opening speech at the forum, followed by a panel discussion including KPC's CEO Nizar Al Adsani, board member of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry Amran Jouhar Hayat, chief executive officer of Huawei Technologies Company in Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait Trevor Lo and director general of China Constructions Company Yang Chu Sin.
