BAHRAINI drivers Hussain Hasan and Mohammed Mattar claimed a fantastic one-two in their class yesterday in the third round of the UAE X30 Challenge.
The meeting is a part of the IAME Series UAE Championship and it took place at RAK Track in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.
Hasan and Hussain are competing in the X30 Shifter category, where participants aged 16 and above race in karts fitted with identical IAME X30 Shifter 125cc engines.
Mattar topped the qualifying timesheet with Hasan third.
Mattar continued his fine form and won heat one as well as the pre-final. However, an unfortunate accident at the start of the final dropped him to seventh position.
But he fought back and finished second overall.
Hasan, on the other hand, had an impressive drive and won the final.
