I CAN’T wait for Christmas this year if only to find out who actually rules the UK.
By then it will know the outcome of the European Court of Justice ruling on whether Article 50 can be revoked by acceding to the submission by a cross-party application (all ’EU Remainers’) led by the Scottish National Party.
Also a side issue on the UK House of Commons choosing to vote in favour of the EU/UK Withdrawal Agreement, a ’No Deal,’ or yet another referendum.
The last time Scotland tried to invade England Bonny Prince Charlie’s army got as far as Ye Olde Crewe and Harpur on Swarkestone Bridge only to discover the inn didn’t stock a single malt whiskey and swiftly returned over the border.
The Scottish National Party are making a much better job today by disrupting the House of Commons; if the ECJ rule in their favour means the SNP will rule the UK.
With the SNP’s existing compulsory purchase rights act presumably Chatsworth House would be converted to affordable apartments and the scenic grounds to a wind-farm.
It’s not all bad news because the sassanachs can then apply to the ECJ for an independent ’Home rule for England’. What goes round, comes around!
