An additional floor has been constructed at the Al Salam Primary School for Girls in Jidhafs.
The Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministry completed the project and handed it over to the Education Ministry.
The floor, which covers 812 square metres, includes six classrooms, a supervisor’s room, a store, a locker room and other facilities.
The project which cost BD347,650 was awarded to Almoayyed Contracting Group.
The new ‘green’ extension is equipped with double-glazing windows, LED lamps and insulating bricks, said construction projects director Mariam Abdulla Amin.
