Riyadh: The Saudi authorities have lifted the ban on travelling to Thailand under restrictions, said Almarsd.
The new measure will benefit six categories of people wishing to make trips to the Asian country.
Saudi officials representing government entities and other institutions and authorities will be allowed to travel to Thailand to attend conferences, forums, meetings, sport and cultural competitions.
Saudi traders planning to travel to Bangkok to import Thai products have to submit evidence to be get the green light.
Health officials in charge of checked products imported from Thailand, patients and their companions, relatives of Saudi embassy personnel and Saudis having family ties in Thailand will also benefit from the new flexible measure.
