MANAMA: Ansari Engineering Services (AES), one of the leading Grade ‘A’ multi-disciplined engineering consultancies in Bahrain, has achieved the International Standard ISO 9001:2015 certification for its quality management system making it one of the handful of companies in the country to achieve this distinction.
The certificate was presented by Bahrain-based RICI, a provider of third-party management systems certifications, at Elite Resort and Spa during an awareness session. AES top management led by Ali Al Ansari were present on the occasion to receive the certificate.
The achievement of the new ISO 9001 certification is an evidence that AES’s top management is committed to engage in continuous improvement and determined in providing satisfaction to its clients. The new certificate is expected to add further customer confidence that AES services are delivered to the highest possible standards.
Maintaining the certification will require continuous and comprehensive annual internal audit and annual external validation by RICI to ensure compliance with the standard.
The firm’s managing director Mohamed Al Ansari said the road to certification was a rigorous and thorough process that requires time and commitment and engagement of the entire organisation.
AES began internal preparation for certification in the last quarter of 2017, by evaluating existing procedures and aligning them with new requirements of ISO 9001:2015.
Since documentation and procedures were already well established and compliant with ISO 9001:2008, the firm needed to make necessary changes to the quality manual and overall processes and procedures to meet the new standards.
AES adopted the quality management system based on ISO 9001:2008 standards back in 2015 and has been audited annually since 2016.
Since then, AES has improved the overall operational efficiency and engaged with clients to determine overall client satisfaction.
