Amman: A Jordanian man was killed when a gunman rampaged through two mosques in New Zealand killing and injuring dozens of Muslim worshipers who were performing the Friday prayers.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Sufian Qudah has announced that eight Jordanian nationals were injured, Jordan News Agency reports.
In a statement to the official Petra news agency, he said that the ministry's operations centre and the Jordanian embassy in Australia were following up with concerned authorities in New Zealand to check on the medical condition of the injured Jordanians.
