DETAILS of a terror suspect’s travels are set to be submitted as evidence in a terror case at the High Criminal Court.
The 27-year-old Bahraini is the only defendant of a total of nine people accused of joining a terror cell in 2017.
His eight co-defendants, aged between 25 and 32, are allegedly all at large with a 32-year-old being charged with recruiting the defendants to the terror cell.
The 27-year-old was also accused of receiving weapons training in Iraq at the Iraqi Hizbollah Brigades camps as well as possessing pornographic material on his phone. Court documents also revealed that the 32-year-old incited the 27-year-old to join the training and aided by funding his travel, lodging and transportation while in Iraq. The trial was yesterday adjourned to June 27 for the Nationality, Passport and Residence Affairs to provide details of the 27-year-old’s travels in 2016 and 2017.
