A local cast of 64 children entertained audiences at the Cultural Hall last night.
The children, who were cast to perform in an original musical adaptation of the timeless tale of Rapunzel, were led by US-based Missoula Children’s Theatre (MTC).
The event brought together young actors and actresses aged between five and 15, led by MCT representatives Grace McGeoch and Adam Ferguson.
The duo held auditions for the play, rehearsals and daily workshops at the Cultural Hall throughout the week leading up to the final performance.
The show was held as the result of joint co-operation between the US Embassy and Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (Baca), as part of the Bahrain Summer Festival 2019.
The event was attended by officials from Baca and the embassy, including chargé d’affaires Aimee Cutrona and members of the public.
