Riyadh: A Saudi military cadet who refused a cash gift from an Arab woman pilgrim, performing her Haj rituals, has been honoured.
Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef Al-Saud rewarded him with SR100,000, a car and gave orders to appoint him at any town he chooses on his graduation.
Majid bin Nader Al-Abdulaziz was organising the movement of pilgrims at Al-Mashaar metro when the woman approached him and offered him money as a gift, which he refused politely.
A video recording showing him performing his duties was posted on social media websites.
The minister telephoned Majid and invited him to his office after the end of Haj season and the completion of his military training course.
