MANAMA: bWallet has enabled cashless payments at Cinépolis, Atrium Mall, Saar, under a new agreement.
From the start of this month, users of the digital mobile wallet will get a buy one ticket, get one free offer on tickets at Cinépolis (Sunday to Wednesday) and 25 per cent off (Thursday to Saturday).
bWallet was launched in 2018 by Arab Financial Services (AFS) in partnership with Batelco.
Speaking of the partnership, AFS chief executive B Chandrasekhar said: “We are pleased to embed cashless payments into cinemagoers’ experience when visiting the highly acclaimed Cinépolis, Atrium Mall. bWallet users not only have attractive offers but can also enjoy convenient, frictionless, secure, engaging and transparent payments and cashless entertainment.”
Featuring 13 screens, including Bahrain’s first Junior theatre and 4D E-motion viewing experience, as well as two large-format screens, MacroXE with Dolby Atmos, the Atrium Mall theatre is the GCC’s first Cinépolis in Bahrain.
Cinépolis Gulf chief executive Ashish Shukla said: “We are happy to partner with bWallet to widen our reach both in, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia by providing our guests a seamless payment experience.
“We have witnessed an increased number of guests visiting weekly through this partnership and couldn’t be more excited. Moving forward we are happy to announce, that this promotion will also include the first and only 4D theatre in Bahrain while still including our innovative Junior and Macro XE screens.”
