Bahrain will be taking part in the second edition of the West Asia Senior, Junior and Youth Weightlifting Championship in Jordan next month.
Muharraq Club and a team from the Interior Ministry’s Public Security Sport Association will be representing Bahrain in the championship, organised by Jordan’s Al Yarmuk Club.
The championship will be held from October 4 to 10 at Al Baqaa.
Bahrain’s men and women weightlifters underwent technical check-ups ahead of the championship.
West Asia Bodybuilding Federation chairman Sultan Al Ghanim attended the check-up, along with officials representing Muharraq and the Ministry of Interior,
The Muharraq weightlifting team comprises Ebtissam Ali Abdulla, Mariam Mohammed Sharif, Zeinab Ali Abdulla, Latifa Mohammed Sharif, Noor Ali Abdulla, Fatima Hassan Ali, Mariam Hassan Ali, Sarra Hamad Ateeq, Salman Taraq Al Noobi, Ali Abdul Ameer Ali, Hassan Anwar Said, Ali Hussein Al Matawa’a, Hussein Ali Abdulla, Ali Hussein Hamza and Ali Hassan Abdulkarim.
The Public Security Sport Association team members are Abdulridha Abdulla Youssef, Youssef Khalid Al Shirawi, Essam Abdulla Almeer, Fatima Aki Nasser and Ali Abdulla Youssef.
